Water safety is no joke, Don’t jump in.

These pictures are of what myself and 30 other magnet fishers pulled out of a river from just one bridge in Oxford.

Nearly 3 tonnes of scrap metal waste and rubbish was hidden from view in the water, but we found it and removed it. but it just goes to show what you could hurt yourself on and also the wildlife, this is the state of our rivers and canals have been allowed to get into.

Please take care when around water, even confident swimmers can get impaled or caught up in something.

Big shoutout to our friends at Thame magnet fishing who organized it and collected the scrap they also did a fantastic job of feeding us on the day.

We do go out every week cleaning rivers and canals, clearing obstructions and litter picking, trying to make a difference and find as much hidden rubbish as we can.
